Casey Unverzagt, DPT, DSc

Casey Unverzagt is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Baylor University, where he also serves as Director of Residency Education.
Dr. Unverzagt earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puget Sound, his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Slippery Rock University, and his Doctor of Science in Orthopaedic and Manual Therapy from Andrews University. He completed a sports residency in Washington state and is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as both an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS).
He further completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic and Manual Therapy through the Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). In addition, he completed the Fellowship in Higher Education Leadership (FHEL) through the APTA Academy of Education.
Nationally, Dr. Unverzagt serves on the Board of Commissioners for the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE). He also contributes to professional development as a consultant for Scorebuilders and Cogent Steps.
