Emily Sandvall

Emily Sandvall joined the Department of Physical Therapy in December 2022 and serves as the Director of Administrative Affairs.  In her role, she leads the team responsible for admissions, academic operations, student affairs, and clinical education. In this role, she collaborates closely with departmental leadership and faculty to ensure excellence in accreditation, student support, and program operations. Emily guides strategic planning across the student journey and strengthens partnerships within Robbins College and across the university to advance the department’s mission and support student success.

Previously, Emily served as the Senior Director of Undergraduate Programs in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Baylor, working closely with the recruitment, retention, and student success of undergraduate students in those programs (2011-2022) and as the Assistant Director of New Student Programs in the Division of Student Life, coordinating Baylor Line Camp, an extended orientation experience for new students (2008 – 2011). Prior to her time at Baylor, she served in various student affairs roles at Southern Methodist University, Belmont University, Azusa Pacific University, and Pomona College.

Emily earned her BS in Health Science from Baylor University and her MEd in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University. Emily enjoys supporting her community through several volunteer roles in Waco and at Baylor in addition to spending time with her husband, Bryce, and their four girls–Fallin, Parker, Beckham, and Palmer.
