Tiffany King, PT, DPT, CCS is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Baylor University in Waco, TX. Dr. King received her Pre-Physical Therapy Bachelor of Science Degree at Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL in 2007 and obtained her doctorate in physical therapy at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI in 2011. Dr. King has been in clinical practice for 13 years, primarily in Levels I-III critical care, neuro IPR, post-acute rehab, lymphedema and wound care settings. She has provided formal presentations to several multi-disciplinary providers in inpatient and outpatient settings on therapeutic guidelines to consider for optimal patient management.
Dr. King is an ABPTS Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy, and a published author in the Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal. She demonstrates commitment to the profession and the Association by maintaining her APTA membership and subscriptions to the Acute Care, Cardiovascular & Pulmonary, and Education sections. Dr. King previously served as a voting Delegate and Board Director for APTA-Oregon. Her research interests cater toward increasing the confidence and competency of licensed physical therapists when screening the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems with a secondary focus on therapeutic guidelines to implement in clinical decision making when determining patient appropriateness across all clinical practice settings. Contemporary clinical skills are maintained by practicing in critical acute care settings.
