What is a Hybrid DPT Program Like?
Online Learning: The majority of coursework is done online, from the convenience of your home, through both synchronous and asynchronous sessions. Our innovative faculty design immersive sessions that develop understanding of concepts and theory in preparation for hands-on work in labs.
In-Person Lab Immersions: Over the course of the 26-month program, students attend 9 separate lab immersions at the Baylor DPT facilities in Temple and Waco, Texas. Labs are led by dedicated and experienced faculty, including core Baylor DPT faculty members and clinical adjunct faculty who are experts in the field. This is where students master their hands-on skills and gain the confidence they need to treat patients.
Clinical Experience: Students engage in 31 weeks of full-time experience in a variety of physical therapy practice settings. Placements are arranged by our Student Support team to ensure broad exposure while also considering student preferences on locations and settings.
