The Baylor University Doctor of Physical Therapy program delivers a contemporary and evidence-based curriculum using faculty and contributors who are dedicated educators, clinicians, researchers, and leaders in the profession.
They facilitate student learning and professional growth with student-centered active learning experiences, modeled clinical and scholarly excellence, and steadfast professionalism. Using a blended learning model, our curriculum combines the best aspects of online learning activities and interactions, hands-on laboratory sessions, and collaborative clinical education experiences into an innovative and dynamic learning experience.
The DPT curriculum plan consists of academic course work in six consecutive trimesters over a period of 24-26 months. This includes 65 weeks of didactic curriculum spread across six academic trimesters and 31 weeks of full-time clinical education performed in a variety of clinical settings. The DPT degree is awarded to students upon their successful completion of the program.
