Academic Coaching Program
Faculty-led academic coaching throughout the Baylor DPT program adds to the quality of the student experience.
Academic coaching teams are established and introduced at program orientation. These groups are carefully designed to bring together students with different strengths and abilities, giving students the opportunity to build relationships and learn from each other.
Faculty coaches get to know their students on a personal level and help them to grow not only as students, but also personally and professionally. Coaches serve as a primary point of contact throughout the program and play a vital role in guiding students through successes and challenges. Baylor DPT students meet with their coaches at least once per trimester. They can feel comfortable seeking guidance on study strategies, clinical education advice, career goals and personal matters as well. Faculty coaches are familiar with all of the support services available to Baylor students and connect them with University resources whenever necessary.
