Student Groups

While in the program, Baylor DPT students have many opportunities to get involved with student-led groups and initiatives. These groups all provide unique opportunities to develop friendships, promote leadership, and encourage service.

  • Class Leadership

    Students are elected to support and represent the cohort amongst program Leadership.

  • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Representatives 

    Students represent Baylor DPT within the APTA at the state and national level.

  • C.A.R.E Council

    A group that serves to promote connection and belonging within the cohort.

  • Ministry Team

    A group focused on supporting classmates through Bible studies, prayer groups, and positive messaging.

  • Social Media Team

    A group dedicated to capturing student life through pictures and videos and promoting the program on social media.

  • Beyond Baylor

    A group committed to promoting the PT career within the cohort by organizing educational speakers and panels.

  • Graduate Student Association 

    A Baylor-wide community that strives to enrich the academic and social lives of graduate students throughout the University.

  • Gold Committee

    A group focused on coordinating opportunities for community service within the Waco community and beyond.

  • Green Committee

    A group that helps to plan the cohort’s graduation banquet with the goal of making it a meaningful and memorable day for all.

  • Dean’s Student Advisory Board

    A group that meets with the Dean of Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences regarding student needs and activities.
