Current Resident
Abigail Herring
Following a leap of faith, Abigail Herring graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She pursued her passion for becoming a physical therapy through Baylor University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, from which she graduated in 2025 with a particular interest in neurology. Originally from Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Herring is grateful for the way the Lord directed her path to Baylor University, where her values and heart for service were met with an academic community that fosters both excellence and connection.
"Having the opportunity to learn from and work alongside experienced physical therapists within the neurological specialty is truly a chance of a lifetime. This neurologic residency program allows for advancement in my clinical reasoning, hands-on skills, and professional development in order to better serve my patients. I am genuinely excited to invest in Baylor physical therapy students through teaching and mentoring at lab immersions, as I closely understand what it feels like to be in their shoes. Through the specialized opportunities within patient care, teaching, and research, I am honored and eager to see how this year of residency will shape my clinical lens to better align with my patients’ goals and promote functional optimization."
