Jessica Feda, PT, DPT, DSc

Jessica Feda serves as a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Student Affairs in the Baylor University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Dr. Feda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Minnesota State University–Moorhead, her Master of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree through the U.S. Army–Baylor University Graduate Program.. She later completed her Doctor of Science degree at Bellin College.

Dr. Feda is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and Wound Management Clinical Specialist. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). As a neuromusculoskeletal evaluator, Dr. Feda served for 22 years in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Public Health Service as a first-contact physical therapist, providing patient care, departmental leadership, and student instruction. Her service included multiple deployments and leadership roles within national organizations, as well as serving as a department chief overseeing multiple professional disciplines.

Her clinical interests include primary care musculoskeletal rehabilitation, integumentary care, and the management of persistent pain conditions. Within the Baylor DPT Program, Dr. Feda teaches across several courses reflective of her broad clinical background and currently instructs in DPT 6530 Clinical Integration I, DPT 6221 Clinical Medicine II, and DPT 6630 Musculoskeletal System II.

Dr. Feda serves as the Minnesota Chief Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates, is a member of the Academy of Clinical Excellence in Wound Management (ACEWM) Wound Management Residency Task Force, and contributes as a Specialization Academy of Content Experts item writer. Her research interests include the role of senescent cells in aging and healing, modifiable non-cognitive factors influencing academic success, academic coaching in hybrid learning models, and outcomes related to manual therapy.

Dr. Feda resides in Rochester, Minnesota, and enjoys traveling, scuba diving, running, and spending time with her husband, two children, and friends and family.
