Why are there so many positions available?
The DPT program posts the adjunct positions for the entire upcoming academic year, September-August. The goal is to empower our adjunct faculty to select the courses they have a true passion for and with this level of transparency all interested adjunct faculty can see all of the opportunities that the program has to offer.
In our hybrid program, students and faculty travel to Waco, TX twice per trimester for onsite, face-to-face laboratory instruction. With up to 100 students per cohort, we have a need for high-quality adjunct faculty who bring their clinical and contemporary experience, a passion for teaching, and a desire to mentor and coach future physical therapists and leaders in our profession. We are committed to a student to faculty ratio of approximately 1:12, which means we must recruit 6-8 adjunct faculty per course with lab to assist core faculty in lab instruction.
