Antonia Silva, PT, DPT

Antonia Silva, PT, DPT is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Baylor University. Dr. Silva served in the US Navy until 2006, received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in 2013, and is a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist and Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist.
Prior to her time at Baylor, Dr. Silva spent 12 years as a full-time clinician in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopaedic private practice, skilled nursing rehabilitation, intensive inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient neurologic practice. She served as Coordinator and Mentor for an ABPTRFE-accredited neurologic physical therapy residency program and developed and taught numerous post-professional courses covering neurologic therapy topics such as spinal cord injury and recovery-based gait training. She also spent 5 years serving as an adjunct faculty member at Baylor DPT. Dr. Silva continues to be active in the outpatient neurologic clinic in her local community of Waco, TX, and she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband and two children.
