Shane Koppenhaver is a Clinical Professor and serves as Associate Chair for Research for the Baylor University Department of Physical Therapy.
Dr. Koppenhaver received his Master of Physical Therapy degree from the U.S. Army–Baylor University Graduate Program in 1998 and a PhD in Exercise Science from the University of Utah in 2009. He became board certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2001 and completed a fellowship in manual therapy through Regis University in 2009. Dr. Koppenhaver recently completed 20 years of active-duty service in the U.S. Army, and now serves as a Clinical Professor and Associate Chair for Research of the Department of Physical Therapy at Baylor University. Dr. Koppenhaver has received over $6 million in grant funding, published approximately 90 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, delivered 80 professional presentations, and received numerous research awards. Additionally, Dr. Koppenhaver recently authored a physical therapy textbook that has been published in seven languages worldwide and has sold over 25,000 copies.
