Kyle Adams, PT, DPT, DSc
Clinical Associate Professor
Kyle Adams is a Clinical Associate Professor in his seventh year with the Department of Physical Therapy at Baylor University in Waco, TX. He received his Master of Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY in 2001, a Doctor of Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2008, and a DSc in PT from Bellin College in 2024. He has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2004, became board certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2005, completed a fellowship in manual therapy through Evidence in Motion in 2011, and completed a therapeutic pain specialist certification program in 2017.
Prior to his time at Baylor, he spent 15 years as a full-time clinician in 2 different outpatient orthopedic private practices, and 1 year as the director of an orthopedic residency and spine fellowship program. He also spent 11 years serving as an adjunct faculty member at different entry-level PT programs and 9 years teaching post-professional courses around the United States, covering the topics of orthopedic physical therapy, manual therapy, exercise, and pain science.
Since 2021, he received grant related to educational research, authored a book chapter, presented 10 times at national conferences, and had his first eight manuscripts published.
